Osteoarthritis, or OA, is due to the loss of the cartilage cushion that lines the joints, leading to joint pain, reduced range of motion, and occasionally swelling and deformity.
The Arthritis Society will host a free public forum, Living Well with Osteoarthritis, on Sept. 17 in Coquitlam. September is Arthritis Awareness Month, and the society is launching a website and hosting the free forum to help people determine whether or not they have osteoarthritis (OA).
