Can you answer half_eaten’s question about Arthritis?:
He’s been having pretty bad hip problems for the past few months, so I picked up a bottle of “Triple Flex” pills at Walgreens. He is a pretty big dog, around 100 pounds.

They have 500 mg of Glucosamine Hydrochloride, 400 mg of Chondroitin Sulfate, and 125 mg of Methylsulfonylmethane in each pill.

Arthritis Feedback: do your dog a favor and get the excess weight off ,, that will help more than the pills
i always thought that those for for preventative treatment as opposed to administering after the fact
i am shocked that he is 14
Arthritis Feedback: We give our bulldog Snovi-MSM….
MSM 800mg
Glucosamine 500mg
Perna Canaliculus 300mg
Vitamin C 10 mg
She weighs 53 lbs.
I suggest you phone your vet for the right dose for your dog.
Our girl gets 2 tabs every day
Arthritis Feedback: Have you checked if a animal can be given this with a vet?
Your best bet is to check with your vet as certain things good for humans aren’t good for fido
Arthritis Feedback: Call your vet and ask before you give these to your dog as I’m unsure of this last ingredient.
I gave my gsd 500 mg glucosomine/400mg chrondroitin twice daily to start but had to increase the dosage. He weighs over 100#s.
Let me tell you what your vet might not.In order for you to see noticeable results you have to give the dog double the dosage for a week or two. After that one pill twice a day RELIGIOUSLY.If you miss a day you’re going to have to start the double dosage all over again because the stuff leaves their systems quickly.
