Can you answer robert l’s question about Arthritis?:

I am 61 and have started feeling pain in my shoulders, knees, and hips associated with arthritis. Does liquid glucosamine-chondroitin-MSM act faster than the pill form of the named ingredients?

Arthritis Feedback: I am 66 and have taken the pills, but it didnt seem to help…maybe ask your doctor for something that will work…good luck…

Arthritis Feedback: i’ve heard that it helps some people and not others…it is worth a try if anti-inflammatories and other pain management methods aren’t working. And i haven’t heard of it ever having an negative effect so it sounds like its worth a try to me.

Arthritis Feedback: It really shouldn’t matter- it has to build up so it takes a few weeks to really notice a difference, and just about the time you think it isn’t working and quit - you will notice pain returning within a week.
Try yoga - a nice relaxing kind for the flexibility

Arthritis Feedback: Glucosamine and chondroitin have never been medically proven to have any effect on pain or on joint health. Vitamin C would do more good for joints as it is essential for the production and maintainence of connective tissue, i.e. cartilage and bone. An NSAID would be the drug of choice for pain and/or inflammation.

Arthritis Feedback: Do you mean the solution injected into the joint? The manufacturers claim it can delay surgery in arthritic knees for about 1-2 years depending on the severity of the disease. Haven’t come across liquid taken orally. Oral tabs usually are made from shellfish. If you are allergic to shellfish, you shouldn’t take the tabs.
